MOHAMMED AKTAR HOSSAIN Correspondent: A chairman candidate and one vice-chairman candidate withdrew nomination papers on the last day of withdrawing nomination papers for Senbagh Upazila Parishad election in Noakhali. They are - Awami League's rebel candidate industrialist Lion Jahangir Alam Manik and Vice-chairman of the district Awami League leader Shawkat Hossain Kannon.
Lion Jahangir Alam Manik, the party's candidate for the Senbagh Upazila Parishad, was elected unanimously in favor of Alhaj Jafar Ahmed Chowdhury, who supported the nomination candidate Alhaj Jafar Ahmed Chowdhury, and Alhaj Jafar Ahmed Chowdhury, the leader of the party's miserable election.
On Wednesday afternoon, Lion Jahangir Alam Manik Mahila College auditorium declared a withdrawal of Lion Manik nomination in a joint meeting of Awami League. In the joint meeting, District Awami League Vice-President and Chairman of Tama Group Ataur Rahman Bhuiyan Manik, AL candidate Alhaj Jafar Ahmed Chowdhury and Lion Jahangir Alam Manik.
Awami League, Jubo League, Chhatra League, Shik, journalists, businessmen and many other people from different fields were present in the meeting.
Later in the afternoon, Leader Jahangir Alam Manik withdrew his nomination papers after Jafar Ahmed Chowdhury and Lion Manik District Returning Officer's office took a huge car ferry with leader carriages. Alhaj Jafar Ahmed Chowdhury submitted the nomination papers for the boat and Lion Manik had filed separate nomination papers.
Three vice-chairman posts and five vice-chairmen of five contesting candidates are contesting the elections. They are - former chairman of the group Ghulam Kabir, former acting mayor of municipality Nuruzzaman Chowdhury, former UP chairman freedom fighter Abdur Rab On the other hand, the female vice-chairman post- Maryam Sultana, artist Mahmud, Ferdous Ara Rupali Chowdhury, Nazmun Nahar Parvin and Hafiza Akter Baby. March 14 will be given. In the meantime, the candidates started campaigning rally rally in different ways. Yesterday morning Babupur villagers organized an exchange meeting in support of Nuruzzaman Chowdhury for vice-chairman post.

The chief guest was the mayor of Senbagh Municipality Abu Zafar Tipu. Prior to this, Arjuntala villagers organized an exchange meeting in support of the Vice-chairman candidate Golam Kabir. #
